Muktinath, the sacred God of Salvation: holds great significance for all spiritual people in the South Asian sub-continent. Muktinath has been one such holy site, where thousands of devotees flock to this arid land to attain the much-sought Moksha (salvation). The holy temple is located at 3800m in Muktinath Valley and at the base of the Thorong La pass in Mustang. Behind the temple is lined up with a set of continuous 108 waterspouts, known as “Muktidhara” and in front of the temple is a set of 2 ponds known as "Mukti Kunda". Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims, devotees have a very strong belief of getting salvation from a bath and dare to take it under these chilled running water from 108 waterspouts and two Mukti Kundas.
Our Muktinath Tour 3N 4D begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 hours approx.). The next day early morning, fly from Pokhara to Jomsom (15 mins) and same-day drive to Muktinath Temple. After a choice of bath and worship, explore the Muktinath area and back to Jomsom and overnight stay at Jomsom. Early morning, fly back to Pokhara, visit sightseeing places like Bindabasini Temple, Seti Gandaki River, Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave and Barahi Temple at Fewa Lake. The next day, drive back to Kathmandu.
Note: Driving from Pokhara to Jomsom can be an option over flying. However, we can always customize the trip and choose to drive throughout the trip or fly. Driving overland can always be more adventurous where we will be enthralled by the unprecedented surprises offered by nature en route.
